Winter Arrangements
Fishing days will now be slightly restricted by other activities around the lake so we ask all who wish to fish to e-mail or call (Neil's mobile 07768 714281). The other reason for calling is that the access code on the gate has been changed!
We have recently re-stocked but these fish are following the year's pattern of feeding under water with less surface activity than one would like to see.

September Update
During the 'summer months' a major repair to the road down to the lake was carried out and has improved access very considerably! The same months had seen a build-up of weed, which affected most fishing platforms to different degrees. Virtually all of this has now been removed and the introduction of new stock next week leaves the lake in excellent shape for fishing in September.
Unfortunately we have to close the lake from Friday 7th to Wednesday 11th September inclusive while a family wedding and its aftermath take place. A group booking on Friday 28th means we will also be closed to day ticket fishing on that day.
Arrangements for October onwards will be posted at the end of the month.

Opening of the new season
The time is almost upon us. We are scheduled to open on Sunday 1st but will welcome visitors on Saturday.
Although we unfortunately failed to get the fountain going this year we are better prepared for next years' attempt! We have, however, carried out the necessary jetty repairs, painted the boat-house clubroom and tidied up all the margins.
We will see how the first few days go but plan to introduce say new fish in April.
Will all visitors note our new security gate. We considered leaving this open in daylight for fishermen to come and go but like the security too much! As we cannot publicise the entry code will all visitors please either contact us before coming or call the house from the intercom at the gate on arrival.
We look forward to seeing you and to getting the season underway.

Welcome to our first blog and to our updated and revised web-site.
We intend to report activity through the season so that, for example, you know how the lake is fishing and when we have introduced a few new fish.
We will soon be preparing for the new season's opening on 1st April, jetties to check and that sort of thing. But the biggest job is to replace the pipe out to the fountain so that that lovely feature can be restored to the lake. It may take some doing but as with everything else news of progress will be found here.
